Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced REMOTE Tax Manager to oversee our tax services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing expert tax advice to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax management and be comfortable working in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients in various sectors, including partnerships, trusts, and corporations.
- Review and ensure accurate and timely completion of tax compliance and reporting, including IRS Form 1120, 1040, 990, 1041, and 1065.
- Assist clients with tax audits and provide support for any inquiries from tax authorities.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and assess their impact on clients' tax positions and strategies.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Mentor and train junior staff in tax-related matters and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client relationship management.
